Load cell bridge resistance check

Updated: 25 Jul 2022
Article #: 10

To help determine if the load cell is indeed offset/damage, you can measure resistances across the strain bridge of the load cell using a multimeter capable of reading up to 350 ohms out to two decimal places.

Attached are different tables pertaining to different type load cell connections that are used for TestResources systems.

You will want to provide the following back to support team after completing the check

1) Serial number of the load cell

2) Serial number of the controller it is calibrated to

3) The measured resistances of the bridge

Once sent back support team will take a look and determine if the load cell is offset/damaged and if needs to be replaced.
