Cannot Connect to MTL32 (2013 and newer)

This article is intended for L controller systems with serial numbers 13xxxxxx-xx and higher.
If you receive the error 'Cannot connect to MTL32 make sure controller is on' message. Follow the steps below along with the supplemental documentation attached.
1.) First make sure the L controller is on and is on for longer then 1 minute prior to opening the MTL32_2020 software.
2.) If it doesn't connect. We will need to check the IP settings on the controller, PC and software. Go through attached document 'DSP diagnosis'
3.) If you find Biss> through putty program then you'll need to go through the 'reset DSP card' attachment.
4) If you are not able to reset the DSP card. You can conduct the 'Full Reset of DSP card'. If you don't feel comfortable with doing those steps you can discuss with support agent about sending back controller for us to attempt reset. May inquire a fee.
5) If Full reset is unsuccessful then the controller will need to be replaced. Work with your support agent to get you pricing on replacement options.
