- 1.) Power off the system complete
- 2.) Remove the grips, adapters and load cell from the bottom of the actuator.
- 3.) Wait about 15 minutes before removing the cables from the back of the actuator.
- 4.) Then remove the 3 screws on the bottom front and bottom back of the actuator cover. You’ll need an English allen wrench set
- 5.) Lift the cover assembly up and off, you may have to shift to clear the connectors off the back.
- 6.) On the bottom of the anti-rotate where the load cell was attached (Large silver bar), remove the 4 screws towards the center. The anti-rotate bar and rods will fall down so make sure you are holding on to as you remove the bolts.
- 7.) To remove the actuator from the crosshead there may be bolts (4) underneath on the black crosshead where the actuator sits or there are 4 nuts on top of the actuator you’ll need to remove. Once removed you pull the actuator up and off the crosshead. If the actuator rod is extended you can rotate it and with a little upward thrust back towards the body of the actuator retract it into the body. Safer and easier to ship in a box.
- 8.) Prior to packing, Remove two of the tie rods if still connected to the frame and place back on the actuator and secure by threaded nut on top and bottom or just bottom of the tie rod.
